Desktop and Patch Management Engineer:


Experience: 3-5 yrs


Role description:


The Desktop & Patch Management Team is mainly responsible for the creation and worldwide distribution of desktop- and laptop images and applications. Next to that, the team is involved in the maintenance and support of the general infrastructure.


The Desktop & Patch Management Engineer supports the maintenance and provisioning of consistent and reliable infrastructure services across the group.


Skills requirement:




Technical skills:


• Extensive knowledge of- and hands-on experience with- packaging/installation using MSI.

• Expert knowledge of operating systems, including Windows XP and higher.

• Sound knowledge of System Centre Configuration Manager.

• Working knowledge of Application Deployment Solutions such as:

• Windows Deployment Toolkit

• Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager

• Altiris Deployment Solution

• ZENworks / ENGL

• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Group Policies

• Working Knowledge of Windows 2008 R2

• Working knowledge of Windows  7

• Working Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory

• Working Knowledge of Microsoft Group Policies

• Working knowledge of Windows  7

• Powershell Scripting

• Microsoft Forefront

• Microsoft Unified Access Gateway.
